Take a New View of Entertainment!
Win-Mill Productions publishes two magazines, Spectrum and Wrapped in Plastic, that provide in-depth analysis and commentary on the worlds of television, film, and comics.

Win-Mill Productions came into being in 1991 when Craig Miller and Mark Winter teamed up to create Wake Up!, a short-lived humor magazine that nevertheless received the praise of drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs: “Wake Up! publishes the best satire around.” A philosophically-oriented superhero comic book, Windsor, followed in 1992. The next year, The Cerebus Companion began as a supplement to Dave Sim’s groundbreaking comic book series.

By far our most enduring publications have been Wrapped in Plastic and Spectrum. The former began in October 1992 when Miller teamed up with John Thorne (but kept the "Win-Mill" name--even though Mark Winter had moved on--as "Tho-Mill Productions" and "Mill-Tho Productions" both sounded really stupid). The magazine has appeared every other month. WIP examines Twin Peaks and other work by the show’s co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost. Spectrum, started in September 1994 and appearing four to five times per year, covers “everything except Twin Peaks”: film, comics, music, and lots of (non-TP) television.
