Win-Mill Productions Storefront

Cerebus is the greatest comic book series ever! That's our opinion, anyway, which is why we're publishing Following Cerebus devoted to studying this groundbreaking work by creator/writer/artist Dave Sim and collaborator Gerhard. The individual issues have been collected into softcover trade paperbacks. Now's the time to complete (or begin!) your collection.

Prices on this page are in U.S. dollars.

NOTE: These volumes will ship from the publisher, Aardvark-Vanaheim, in Canada, so delivery times to some U.S. addresses might be slower than items shipped from Win-Mill Productions. (If you are ordering trade paperbacks along with issues of Spectrum, Wrapped in Plastic, and other WMP items, the magazines will be shipped out from our Texas office; the Cerebus books will be shipped separately from Canada.) The exception is the Cerebus Zero comic, which will ship from Texas.

CEREBUS ZERO
(Second printing) Reprints Cerebus #51, 112/113, & 137. Want a taste of Cerebus in an expensive format? This is the issue for you! It collects three stories and contains some of the most popular supporting characters. The art is astounding, and the stories are funny. If you're hesitant to spring for a graphic novel sight unseen, give Cerebus Zero a shot. We bet you won't be disappointed. As a bonus, these copies have been signed by writer/artist Dave Sim and artist Gerhard! (96 pages; fine condition)

CEREBUS
Reprints Cerebus #1-25. First appearances of Cerebus, Red Sophia, Elrod, Bran Mak Muffin, Jaka, the Roach, and Lord Julius, among others. First "Mind Games" story. Though the art is not as polished as in later issues, the stories are some of the funniest of the series, with dead-on parodies of Barry Windsor-Smith's Conan, Red Sonja, Bran Mak Morn, Elric, Captain America, Groucho Marx, Clint Eastwood's The Beguiling, Warner Bros. cartoons, and much, much more. See what made Cerebus an almost overnight cult favorite. (546 pages)

HIGH SOCIETY
Reprints Cerebus #26-50. The art becomes more refined, and the stories more sophisticated, as Cerebus finds himself entangled in the world of politics. First appearances of the Regency Elf, Moon Roach, and Astoria. Second "Mind Games" story. Brilliant parodies of politics in general, political campaigns in particular. Hilarious satire of comic book conventions. Several stories here are classics, including Jaka's return in "The Night Before." While much of the humor in the first volume is geared toward a comic book audience, "High Society" casts a wider net and probably has a broader appeal. (512 pages)

JAKA'S STORY
Reprints Cerebus #114-136. At the time possibly Sim's most ambitious work, Jaka's Story brings the love of Cerebus's life to center stage, providing insights into her childhood and showing her current life married to Rick, while Cerebus is essentially a supporting character. The unforgettable conclusion will leave you shaken. (486 pages)

READS
Reprints Cerebus #175-186 ("Mothers & Daughters" part 3). Harshly criticized at the time (even by longtime Cerebus fans), Reads may stand as the Sim's most ambitious volume ever. Text-heavy (one reason why so many of the comic book readers were angered), the first half is a devastating satire of the comic book industry. The second half, which began a controversy that never ended, presents Sim's views of gender differences. His anti-feminist beliefs provoked endless fascinating discussions. See for yourself what all the commotion has been about. (246 pages)

MINDS
Reprints Cerebus #187-200 ("Mothers & Daughters" part 4). Arguably the conclusion of the Cerebus story (it's difficult to explain...), Cerebus has a final showdown with Cirin, with his creator, and with himself and his own nature. This volume answers many of the mysteries that have been around almost since the beginning of the series, all within the structure of a brilliant psychological adventure. (286 pages)

RICK'S STORY

Note: We are no longer shipping to non-U.S./Canadian addresses.

GOING HOME
Reprints Cerebus #232-250. F. Scott Fitzgerald enters the world of Cerebus--in a manner of speaking--as Cerebus begins the journey back to his birthplace in the north, accompanied by Jaka. (430 pages)

FORM & VOID

LATTER DAYS
Reprints Cerebus #266-288. The years speed up for Cerebus. Eventually he's kidnapped by the Three Wise Fellows (an incredible Three Stooges parody) and forced to listen to The Book of Rick being recited repeatedly. In the process he gains special powers and will come to produce his own set of commentaries. Parodies of Todd McFarlane, Spawn, the Preacher comic book series, and Woody Allen. The artwork is some of the greatest ever to appear in comics; Sim and Gerhard are at the top of their game. (512 pages)
